Introducing Something New at Choice… Book(ed)!

Hello, friends. I hope you’re out there enjoying all things fall… the leaves changing, the temps dropping, and of course, the return of college football. (How ‘bout them Dawgs?!)

In the publishing world, fall is one of the busiest seasons. Publishers will often hold their most highly anticipated titles to release during this window right after summer vacation, and right before the holiday season, when consumers turn their focus to gift purchasing and all things Christmas.

I love everything the fall has to offer—from spending time with my boys doing all the fall things (did I mention the Georgia Bulldawg?!?) to the hustle and bustle of a busy season at work. And this year, I love it even more because of a new, fun offering we’ve been working on behind the scenes here at Choice that we are FINALLY able to launch!

My last post marked the re-launch of our Choice blog after some time off to reflect and reprioritize the content we were creating as a company, our service offerings, and the way we were serving our audience in this space. In the same vein, we’ve been working on a new product offering that will allow us to help more authors get their books in front of the right people.

Here at Choice, we’re constantly approached by prospective clients who are tired of hearing “no”—from publishers, publicists, literary agents and media outlets. They may not have the budget to hire us for an entire publicity campaign, or their in-house publicity team is stretched entirely too thin, or they are a fresh, new face in the publishing world in need of some seasoned guidance.

On a quest to help these worthy, weary storytellers, we’ve developed a one-of-a-kind guide to doing your own book publicity that teaches authors everything they need to know to successfully launch their book into the world. It’s a new, exclusive product offering called Book(ed) by Choice that we hope will educate, empower, and enable authors on their journeys to go from an unknown name to a known, seen, and understood expert and author. Y’all this is essentially Book Publicity 101.

This course has been a dream in my heart for years, and a top priority of ours here at Choice as we’ve been creating and developing it over the last year, and I can’t believe I finally get to share it with you and the world!

So what about you?

Do you have a story to tell? Are you tired of being told that your platform isn’t big enough? Or that media doesn’t know who you are? Or that no one will buy your book?

I know - the struggle is real. But you, your book, and your message aren’t the problem. The answer isn’t starting over. The answer is learning how to share your message in a way that gets the right kind of attention. The answer is knowing HOW to talk about your book and WHO to talk to in order to land the RIGHT media coverage. The right media coverage not only gets you and your message in front of a larger audience, it gives you the credibility, legitimacy, and authority you need to grow your platform, sell your book, and change more lives.

And that’s where Book(ed) by Choice comes in! Drawing on my 20 years of hard-earned publishing wisdom and publicity know-how, I teach you everything you need to know to confidently and successfully launch your book baby into the world and prepare you with the assets you need to get started immediately.

So if you’ve been searching for the right tools to help you launch your own book or to grow your own platform, I hope you’ll click over to Book(ed) by Choice and learn more about how it can help you do just that! I would be so honored to serve as your guide on this journey.

Can I be totally honest? Even though it’s not a traditional publishing project, I feel like I’m launching my very own baby into the world. It’s nerve-wracking and exciting all at once, but even if Book(ed) by Choice only helps one person on their publishing journey, all the work will be well worth it!

Now that I’ve shared our big news, I want to hear from you!

  • What are you working on these days that has you excited (and maybe a little nervous)?!

  • If you’re an author, what has been the biggest obstacle on your publishing journey?

  • Could you or someone you know benefit from what I’m sharing in Book(ed) by Choice?

I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!

Cheers, sweet friends!

Heather
